Still under construction

Finally, my dream to see Gaudi's work come true...- La Sagrada Família appear in the immediate, my heart beat drastically.... Although I have already read most of the facades and architectural details from books and Web over hundreds times, at this moment .... It's a big surprise just like someone taking off the wrapping of the huge gift box .

Construction began in 1882 and still a work in progress. Originally designed by Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926), who worked on the project for over 40 years, devoting the last 15 years of his life entirely to the endeavor, the project is scheduled to be completed around 2026, the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.

Although computer modelling has been used for the detailed design of the structure and CAD/CAM technology has been used to speed up the construction of the building reducing the overall construction time, but the extremely long construction period still have a lot of uncoordinated and controversial issues......

Although about 2.3 million of visitors may bring about 18 million euros from ticket sales each year, the scene is crowded and a bit ridiculous. Neighborhoods along the street also inevitably hang the protest signs.

Not many people visited the well-preserved old studio on the side, i sat there for a while, but seem hard to fully understand this architectural genius's thought in more than 100 years ago.
